	[https://github.com/UtrechtUniversity/ricgraph Ricgraph (Research in context graph)] is a graph with nodes (sometimes called vertices) and edges (sometimes called links) to represent objects and their relations. It can be used to store, manipulate and read metadata of any object that has a relation to another object, as long as every object can be "represented" by at least a name and a value. In Ricgraph, one node represents one object, and an edge represents the relation between two objects. It is written in Python and uses Neo4j as graph database engine. 	Mees van Stiphout will present [https://ianalyzer.hum.uu.nl/home I-Analyser] (some of us might be able to login with SolidID), the online text and data mining application of the Digital Humanities Lab (DHL). With I-Analyzer, users can search full text, create visualizations and export subsets. DHL keeps on improving and expanding this tool every time they manage to acquire funding, and the application (or components functioning as basic building blocks of code in other development projects) is probably generic enough to be useful to researchers from other disciplines than the humanities as well. In collaboration with the UB, DHL also adds new corpora on a regular basis. The somewhat time consuming issue there is the preparatory work (e.g. they are trying to harvest an updated version of the entire KB newspaper collection, which is quite an effort). The system is designed to be flexible enough to allow for different data sources, database schemas, and so on. By default, the Research Software Directory is set up to collect data from GitHub, Zenodo, Zotero, as well as Medium blogs. For each software package, a product page can be created. 			On March 21-23, the 10th anniversary plenary meeting of the Research Data Alliance (RDA) was held in Gothenburg, Sweden. This conference was happy to receive 😊 a delegation of Utrecht University. RDA Plenaries are exciting and productive events that bring together a unique community of data scientists, librarians, computer and domain scientists, so our delegation had to spread out to be able to cover as many subjects as possible.

			Jurgen will tell us about insights they have learned during the sessions and in the “wandelgangen” of the conference, as well as how they may influence the FAIR Research IT program (or why they may not). He might also share some interesting details about whatever happened during the off conference hours with his colleague delegation members, in the bars and on the boat while traveling to Gothenburg.

			Metadata of an object are stored as "properties" in a node, i.e. as information associated with a node. For example, a node may store two properties, ''name = PET'' and ''value = cat''. Another node may store ''name = FULL_NAME'' and ''value = John Doe''. Then the edge between those two nodes means that the person with ''FULL_NAME'' John Doe has a ''PET'' which is a cat.

			The philosophy of Ricgraph is that it stores metadata, not the objects the metadata refer to. To access an object, a node has a link to that object in the system it was obtained from. The objective is to get metadata from objects from a source system in a process called "harvesting". All information harvested from several source systems will be combined into one graph. Modification of metadata of an object is done in the source system the object was harvested from, and then reharvesting of that source system.
